Halloween Parade (75th annual) hosted in Port Jervis

By Sharon E. Siegel

The City of Port Jervis' 75th Halloween Parade stepped off from City Hall yesterday afternoon to the lively beat of Port Jervis School District's creatively costume-adorned band students.

The parade featured individuals, families, friends, officials, and even some pets also in costumes.

The route went down Sussex, up Pike, and along East Main Streets to Farnum Park where cider and donuts were served by Recreation Department staff and committee members. Prizes were provided and awarded by members of the Port Jervis Elks.

In addition to the Halloween Parade, there were multiple other events in Port Jervis yesterday. See separate Port Jervis Newsroom posts for Port's Downtown Spooktacular, Trunk or Treat in Riverside Park, Games in Orange Square, and Minisink Valley Historical Society/Navasing Long Rifles at Fort Decker.
