This has been such a tragic week in our country. Somehow passing by Port Jervis Middle School yesterday afternoon, brought a special feeling in seeing students leave school wearing luau attire, decorative accessories, smiles, and sharing good-old-fashioned friend time.
I'm not sure what the event or occasion was, but isn't seeing kids laughing and enjoying their time together what all kids deserve? Everywhere. Every day.
Also, check out the milestone birthday this beautiful school is experiencing this year. Check out the fun, individual old-fashioned chalk drawings created by students who stayed after school, their choice, and enjoyed ice cream and this simple time together here yesterday.
Not a big event -- or is it? Think back. Little memories --how strong they often remain.
