Port Jervis Police Department and its community celebrate opening of new training facility

Port Jervis Police Chief William J. Worden told dozens gathered for the May 9, 2026 dedication of PJPD's new training facility that the facility is a testament to teamwork and to a shared purpose which honors the past and strengthens the present and future. Worden was surprised to learn during the official grand opening that the building, constructed by the city's Department of Public Words, had been named in his honor.
