Four Grand Marshals to lead historic Port Jervis Fire Department parade, July 9th!

Port Jervis Fire Department's historic Annual Inspection Day Parade, continuing more than a century-and-a-half of proud tradition, takes place this Saturday afternoon, July 9.

Four Grand Marshals will lead the parade as part of the Escort Division.

One Grand Marshal is immediate Past Chief/Current Deputy Chief Dominic M. Cicalese, a 25-year member of Delaware Engine Co. No. 2. The other three co-Grand Marshals have given over a half-century each of service as members of the department and members of this year's lead company, Neversink Engine Company No. 1. They are (with length of service) Past Chief/Current Deputy Chief James W. Rohner, Jr. (54-years), Past Captain/Current President David D. Moore, Sr. (53-years), and Financial Secretary Robert J. Mills (52-years).

Individual stories of the firefighter service of each of the four grand marshals will be posted over the next days. The first to be posted will follow today, featuring Past Chief James Rohner.

Congratulations to each of these four dedicated Port Jervis volunteer firefighters! Thanks to them for a combined total of 184 years of service!

All four continue to give and serve as active volunteers in the department through present.

David Moore, James Rohner, Bob Mills
