STAY CONNECTED WITH A LIT KIT
(A monthly selection of books, snacks, crafts and freebies for young and old alike!)

With the COVID-19 pandemic still interfering with so many community activities, the Children's Room staff at the Port Jervis Free Library did some brainstorming and came up with a fun and free way to connect with their patrons: Lit Kits!
What’s a Lit Kit, you ask?
Once a month, library staff will put together a personalized-just-for-you -- or your child -- kit containing books, snacks, fun seasonal activities, crafts, and other freebies for each patron who signs up. Younger kids up to grade 6 receive their Lit Kits in their own tote bag; grades 7 through adult get a Lit Kit box.
The kits are FREE and available for all age ranges, from preschool to adult. Return the books, CDs or other checked-out items from the kit when you're finished, and look forward to the next month's selections.
When you fill out the brief online survey, the library staff will choose reading material that corresponds with your preferences, be they fiction or non-fiction, graphic novels, adventures, favorite series, music and books on CDs, all geared to your specific age category.
How do I sign up?
