UPDATE 2: IT'S A GO! LINEUP AT 4 PM., KICKOFF AT 5 P.M.
The Tri-State Chamber of Commerce Rick Drew Holiday Parade will line up on Sussex Street in Port Jervis, NY at 4 p.m. Kickoff is at 5 p.m.
The Parade will go down Hammond Street from Port Jervis' City Hall, right onto Fowler Street, right onto Front Street, down Front Street, around and under the underpass, across the Mid-Delaware Bridge to Pennsylvania Avenue, Matamoras, PA. It will pass the reviewing stand on Pennsylvania, turn left, then proceed up 7th Street (which will be lit up for this first late day parade) and then disband at the Matamoras Firehouse.
Refreshments will and trophies awarded at the firehouse. Trophy Categories Best Overall Unit– One Trophy Best Appearing Musical Holiday Float Best Appearing Walking Group Best Decorated Emergency Vehicles Most Original In addition there will be a business Lighting Contest with 3 prizes!! Tradition/Holiday/Character Each participating group will receive a certificate of appreciation just for being a part of this Holiday Tradition in the Tri-State area. Participants were asked NOT to include a Santa Claus as part of their group since the Chamber of Commerce already has Santa at the end of the parade line-up on top of the last Firetruck and they wish not to confuse youngsters.
